FroDown

Purdue's Office of Civic Engagement & Leadership Development presents CurlyInCollege's 2017 FroDown Powered by EDEN BodyWorks CurlyInCollege is a platform that celebrates multicultural college students with naturally curly hair. They recruit and develop student leaders who are bold enough to navigate a life with curls on campus while connecting like-minded individuals to form a national network of on-campus chapters. FroDown, the signature collegiate event series each spring, serves as a celebration of natural hair and the natural lifestyles of college students. This year it's powered by a favored natural brand, EDEN BodyWorks (www.edenbodyworks.com), hitting up eight college campuses along the tour. EDEN BodyWorks provides natural products that integrate wellness and beauty, inspired by nature, to restore and maintain the hair and body's original design. Event Date: April 6, 2017 Time: 6:00pm - 8:30pm Location: Krach Leadership Center Lobby, Purdue West Lafayette Audience: The event is open to current Purdue Students and anyone in the community interested in Natural Hair Each attendee at #FroDown will get to experience an assortment of natural hair and body products in their swag bags from EDEN BodyWorks, in addition to participating in social media giveaways and Twitter chats leading up to each event. Select campuses will feature a prominent beauty influencer guiding the conversation on what it means to "be natural" after college. "We want attendees to leave feeling secure in their natural journey, despite any potential criticism that may arise on campus, in the work force, or their personal lives," shares CurlyInCollege founder, Ashley G. Scott. "We believe that making a natural choice to be your authentic self should be celebrated. We hand pick our partnerships, selecting brands that encourage self-expression and self-discovery. I'm delighted that EDEN BodyWorks partnered with us for FroDown 2017." The events across the United States can be described as high energy experiences complete with refreshments, music, live hair styling demonstrations, entertainment, influencer interviews, an Instagram photo booth station and much more.
